Blackrock planning to do a hard fork on Bitcoin. This could affect the value of the shares of the Bitcoin ETF, which is a financial instrument that allows investors to buy and sell bitcoins on the stock market. Blackrock, the Sponsor of the Bitcoin ETF, will have the sole authority to decide which version of Bitcoin should be considered as the official Bitcoin for the Bitcoin ETF’s purposes. Blackrock’s decision may not be in line with the expectations or preferences of the shareholders of the Bitcoin ETF, or other parties involved in the Bitcoin ETF’s operations. Blackrock’s decision may also result in choosing a less valuable version of the Bitcoin, and this may negatively affect the value of the shares of the Bitcoin ETF.
I would love to hear any thoughts on this topic.
They aren't planning to do a hard fork. This is just risk disclosure.

The "version" of bitcoin you accept only matters when you are receiving bitcoin.
But, for sure, it would cause a lot of turmoil. It would be a good lesson for the people who are simping for an ETF.
