With all the new development going on in 2023, what apps have you enjoyed using?

This could be a great resource bank for people (me) looking to explore the bitcoin ecosystem more!

If you are too lazy to just browse the last week on SN, than just consult @Rsync25 history posting and you will find many new interesting apps.

Cashu is very interesting...loved Calle's podcast with McCormack about it

I think "Slice" browser extention gives more sats then any other satoshi givers. But it gives well only if you're a YouTube watcher.

sMiles recently unveiled it's new feature, location based rewards. I got a hundred sats for finding one of the locations while walking around.

reply

I was interested to see what sMiles actually was.

I always check via the Aurora Store app which checks via Exodus for privacy issues.

I found that there's 15 trackers in that app (and 21 permissions). 😬

reply

It's definitely not a perfect match for everyone's tolerances. My understanding of how the step tracker works is that it grabs values from other health apps on your phone and the new feature has to track your location to work.

I'm not sure how invasive it is outside of the permissions you have to explicitly grant it, though.

I'm hoping for some more good non-custodial solutions like Mutiny

Have heard mixed things about wallet of satoshi, but UX is incredible for newcomers
