First they came for the shitcoins, and I did not speak up because if speaking up mattered, we’d have already gone back to the gold standard. And because shitcoins achieve nothing more important than enriching scammers at the expense of morons and I have no reason to fight for that. And because if your shitcoin needs me to speak up, then your shitcoin is doomed anyway.
Then they came for bitcoin, and I also did not speak up because I learned how to hold my own keys instead of political posturing like a twentieth century serf.

Holy shit, I've seen the Martin Niemoller quote twisted every which way and fit to every political flavor, but this is by far the funniest and the most effective.

Excellent tweet! It should shut up a few whiny "can't we all stick together" clowns.

And I didn't give a fuck (Yes I read the tweet, it read to the same effect)

I love this tweet so much. Very dense.

This is what so many shitcoiners don't get. They don't get that the state will come for the easy targets first. We know they will come for bitcoin but these shitcoiners are the ones that are so cool with compromising on the core aspects of bitcoin that make it harder to censor and stop. Now, they want bitcoiners to defend them. The same bitcoiners they mocked for using old, slow, stupid bitcoin.
Satoshi knew the state would come for bitcoin. It is obvious. Most people do not truly understand why we need bitcoin. They don't understand how truly evil the fiat system is. They don't get how screwed they are. This is why so many fall for shitcoins.
