The country has teamed up with Nasdaq-listed Bitdeer Technologies Group, based in Singapore, to develop a 600 megawatt mining farm for Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency.
Interestingly, the project will improve Bhutan's hydroelectric power capabilities, removing the need to import electricity during winter, when generation dwindles.

600 MW? That's pretty big. Bigger than the El Salvador project. Bigger than the entire consumption of Bhutan too, apparently.
