In Sparrow wallet, there seems to be an option to convert a singlesig wallet into a multisig.
Is this possible? Has anyone ever tried it?
Or do I need to create a fresh new wallet?

You can also use your singlesig within a multisig, so yes, it's possible.
It's possible to use one of your old sigs in a multisig but don't expect your crypto in your old wallet to be in your new multsig wallet.
If you want to go to multisig it will generate you a new address(es). So fresh new wallet IIRC.
