I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who got bored to death by seemingly endless onslaught of names and facts being thrown at the reader.

The interesting parts of the books are interesting as hell, and I still recommend reading it, or at least skimming through it. But I concur with the autor of the summary: this book could have been an essay and still get the main points through.

The book was long and repetitive, but it did give me a different take on what I imagined it was like living in Weimar Germany. It was not sudden inflationary horror. There were ups and downs, market improvements and downturns. It unfolded more gradually than I imagined. We can already relate to a few of the telltale signs- supposed supply chain issues, blaming the greedy producers who were "price gouging." All in all, worth reading.
