I just want to mention that I'm finding some of the recent updates to the site pretty useful.
The "copy link" option really saves time and aggravation if you want to reference an older post in a new post or response.
I didn't think the PWA would be a big deal, but having a stand alone app makes it much easier to read a linked article without losing your place getting back to SN. I'm sure there are other advantages I haven't figured out yet.
I haven't subscribed to a post yet, but I'm glad to have the option.
One thing: Has anyone managed to get the PWA working on Firefox? It's easy on Brave. Firefox doesn't support PWAs, but there are browser extensions that provide a workaround. I haven't managed to get one to work yet.

Yes works perfectly for me.

Do you use an extension?
reply
Firefox android directly from github (no google shit services) v.108.1.1 I do not use any extensions or special config.

Oh, are you talking about the mobile browser app? I'm talking desktop. I got it from NixOS package store.

What is the meaning of installing as app on desktop?
reply
I mean a standalone desktop app, so that you do not open the site as a tab on your browser. https://www.simicart.com/blog/desktop-pwa/
