@v1ntage is still here.
The amount of sats you've stacked has no effect on trust. It never did, even back then when our WoT model was even more naive. So to the extent that they're implying they gamed trust they are wrong.
They did game the top stackers ranking though which is only a vanity metric and was known by me to be game-able.
It can still be gamed through circular tipping but this type of gaming is no longer free. It'll cost you 10% of the amount you are trying to add to another account's "stacked" metric.
Gotcha. I assume there's no way to stop it, but you can make it more costly if need be?

Yep.
We had someone come along and self-tip 1m sats a few months ago and inadvertently donated 100k sats to the reward pool for the day. I can't find the comment but they followed up with an acknowledgement to the effect of "rekt."

Was it @tech5? How'd he get into "account jail" lol #60020
Or was it this dude? #29926

tech5 was one of the earlier ones playing this game. They tipped themselves so many sats that when denominated in msats it wouldn't fit in a 32 bit signed integer so they couldn't be tipped anymore. The DB has overflow detection and effectively "restrained" him. Even I didn't have that many sats back then.

Haha yep! It wasn't me. I only tipped myself for the thrill, never took from others.
