I hate this ...
I don't want to subscribe to Patreon.
He got me wanting to pay for part two .... but I won't subscribe to Patreon. I refuse to.
Give me a LN invoice, dude, and my sats become yours.

He could even just add a LN address in the video description and done, anybody could send sats with Alby in 1 click.

I didn't sub to the patreon either. I just thought Mexico's initial rise due to the silver trade and Mexican small business people saying fuck you to banks as a way to survive a corrupt system, was entertaining enough to share what was there.

I'm absolutely thrilled that I found the video, thanks to your post. It was quite good and I now want to see part two.
My only gripe is not to you but the creator of the video, who is likely unaware of methods to be paid per-view (of any payment type, not just in bitcoin), and likely thinks that the Patreon model will provide a consistent and growing income stream (so as to be able to some day dump the day job). But look at that Patreon ... 100 subscribers. And I bet that's 90% $3/month subscribers. And maybe a quarter of that is churn, so it's not really consistent and growing unless the content is good enough to attract many new subscribers.
So Patreon is today giving this creator nothing other than $300 per month and a false promise about what the future holds.
And he doesn't even need to ditch patreon. He could simply upload to something like Lightning.Video, or even just use Alby's Wordpress plugin that adds an LN-enabled paywall. The sats earned are on top of whatever Patreon users pay.
