I need your help! I am an amateur Bitcoiner who has been stacking sats on the Lightning wallet Muun. However, due to the recent high on-chain fees, it has become impossible for me to continue stacking sats on this wallet. I feel like a complete moron, as I have been unable to find a suitable replacement wallet that is non-custodial and easy enough for even a five-year-old to use.
That's why I'm reaching out to the Bitcoin community for advice. I am looking for a non-custodial Lightning wallet that is user-friendly and easy to use. I want to continue stacking sats, but I need a moron-proof wallet that can handle the current high on-chain fees.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I'm open to any and all recommendations, as I'm eager to get back to stacking sats and building my Bitcoin portfolio. Thank you in advance for your help!
Please start reading my guides:
Pay attention to details. This is not a race to use whatever app you get recommended. As I explained in the guides, choosing the right wallet is important and not just ONE, but multiple ones. Stop thinking "for 5yrs old"... you are grown man, so behave like a grown man, use your brain. Bitcoin is not for 5yrs kids, is for intelligent people that want to learn. Otherwise you will be the one that will lose, not the others. You will remember my words.

I will recommend listening to Darthcoin.
Unfortunately, no lightning wallet bridges the holy trinity (being dead simple to use, not requiring a node running in some server, being non-custodial).
Either you learn how to use a not-trivial wallet, you run your own lightning node, or you fall into custodian hands. You have to pick your poision.

Blink (bitcoin beach wallet)
it's custodial, and requires a phone number (unfortunately), but:
  • very fast
  • very low fees
  • works without Google Services
  • can use with an online sms service
  • no kyc
for smaller amounts, perfect for noobs
once they're up and running, teach them about channels and self sovereignty
phoenix is a great next step, but they can (hence likely do) track all of your transactions.
