Instead of waiting for the normies and the politicians to "do something", do something yourself and arrange your affairs so that you are less affected by what the normies and politicians do. Then you will feel less sad or frustrated about how slow bitcoin adoption is going.

And, yes, you can tell normal people that they can buy bitcoin at a local meetup or with vouchers from azte.co or whatever. Most of them won't do it, but some might.
