We'll get there. I always keep you in mind when I think about general subs. I'll reach out when I think we're ready so we can successfully launch these general ones.
I recently bought an ecoflow battery (solar generator, battery power station, etc) and have been wanting to experiment with hooking up a blockchain node to it. Here are my thoughts:
Old Dell laptop that can be powered via usb-c.
Ecoflow battery
~250W solar panel I can get locally for ~$50 USD.
I wonder if there would be enough battery in the ecoflow to power it overnight?
Yeah I would have the screen off for sure. I was going to try and remove components like the keyboard, screen, etc to see if that would lower the energy usage.
I'm looking for some data on what bottleneck variables go into an initial btc blockchain sync. e.g. If you have an NVMe drive, but you are syncing over tor only I assume the NVMe vs Sata drive isn't going to matter. Anyone have any data on that?
You can use a VPN but it probably isn't as anon as tor, but that isn't usually built into apps like umbrel. You could even download over the internet without tor or a VPN, it just exposes your VPN to the world and lets them know you are running a btc node.
Hey gang, hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday. It's quite hectic today here at the school but a good day indeed, I wish you an incredible day and lots of profit and success, remember that you are your own master. Be well and stay frosty!!
Woke up to the news that the Australian Central Bank unexpectedly raised interest rates. They expressed concern that they won't hit their (already doctored) inflation target. If you follow mainstrem media, inflation is cooilng. The US fed is slowly destroying every fiat currency in its futile attempt to save the dollar.
