The author argues that Artificial Intelligence (AI) should be in balance with Original Intelligence (OI), which refers to our individual and collective true wisdom. Advanced AI systems could pose profound risks to society and humanity if not planned for and managed carefully, and the key task for humanity now is to balance the power of living consciousness and the power of machines. GenAI/LLMs have been trained on the entirety of human traces in the web, which produces “wisdom of the crowd”-like results that exhibit the biases, prejudices, weaknesses, and vices of all of us. The author also emphasizes the importance of systemic awareness and collective coherence to ensure that technology is embodied and not traumatized.
