Very cool. So, effectively this is a "blockchain" that requires confirmation by the receiver before a block can be added, which allows hiding data that might normally be required on a public ledger? If this paper is to be believed, it would be possible to hide basically everything.
Is this idea completely novel, or are there already systems that implement a protocol like this?
