This is why I stopped putting my paycheck in my bank. My salary direct deposit goes through Bitwage directly into a hardware wallet that I control. I can optionally send a percentage to my bank account. This is a paid service, fees or subscription. The bank can't control my Bitcoin ownership if it never controls my money in the first place.
