I'll add a point I left out in my article.
You also have to be in a country where merchants offering payment in Bitcoin are already quite widespread. This is obviously not always the case.
But I think that this way of looking at things is an ideal that we should aim for from now on.
Every time I make a payment, I ask the merchants if they support Bitcoin payments.
I often suspect that the answer is no, but some people are intrigued and then ask me about Bitcoin. This is a good way to make them want to discover Bitcoin and why not offer it as a payment method later on.
