That was fast.
I don't really see a clear path for Intel. Even AWS is pushing ARM processors now. I guess they could come from behind on GPUs.
Intel lost a huge business with Apple in late 2020 when the M1 was released. Those ARM chips are amazing, way better than the Intel macs.
In late 2022 Microsot released an ARM dev kit, project volterra, hinting that there would be more demand for ARM chips for Windows PCs.
And now in 2023 they just stopped their Bitcoin miners.
In terms of GPU, they don't really have a software stack to compete with Nvidia's CUDA yet, so I don't think they're going to be relevant anytime soon.
Not looking good for the future of Intel.
