The fact that a sat is so “cheap” (for now) and that you have to send 20-25 sats before you’ve spent $0.01 really reduces the friction and, far as I can tell, increases adoption of people willingly transferring economic value in a low-risk way.
I never really thought about the impact that payment processing fees have had on propping up this “gap” where something is either free or it’s a couple dollars at least. It feels like streaming sats & micropayments etc. are going to be a huge opportunity, bigger than most people realize.
And when a sat becomes $1, we'll have msats!
