You're being equally stupid but the other way around.
Not all conspiracies were false, not all of them were unreasonable. There was a lot of misinformation and nonsense but there was also real censorship.
No, the science was consistent. Scientists communicatet clearly what the state of the knowledge was, what was unclear and what was still debated. Maybe a few morons were overstating the facts - if you're debating against them you're debating against a strawman.
There also was no censorship. A small but vocal right wing minority spread their missinformation everywhere, how could you speak about censorship when it was EVERYWHERE?
