I’m class of 2021 spring semester when we had a blowoff top. Never been more bullish as now with all the use cases and it’s an insurance policy on ponzi fiat!
Four years, still in it because its fun and seems like the only logical path forward

February 2018 thinking I was clever buying the dip at 15k. Waited 2 1/2 years to break even

Ouch! I’m still down on my cost basis 35k but buy more daily!

I started November 2021, just after the all time high. At first I wanted to learn about all different types of crypto because of the cryptology and computer science technology aspects but quickly realized that Bitcoin was the only cryptocurrency worth anything. Been DCA'ing and learning all the way to the bottom in December of last year--no regrets.

End of 2017 bought a couple hundred dollars because why not. Ignored it until it hit 20k. Sold half the profit for shitcoins. Shitcoin gambled for a bit. Started to reasearch and understand before the ATH. DCA'd all the way down. Sold the few hundred dollars of shitcoins for BTC when it was around 40k again.
Kept digging and learning.
Gave up on price and only see sats.
Lost them all boating.
Trying to stay humble now.
And spread a little sat love on Stacker for those on the journey.

I’ve been around since 2012/13. A decentralized digital money seemed like an interesting idea, but I laughed it off at first: “that’ll never work”. Second or third time I saw it, I read the whitepaper, changed my mind, and have been fascinated since. It still seems like a decent way to push back on surveillance capitalism, inflation, and improve the situation of international payments and payment flows on the internet in general.

Wow I see most of the comments here ONLY about the price... but nobody says a word about using Bitcoin because fuck the banks.
You guys have a long way to learn more about Bitcoin if your mind is still at "I heard at $10, sold at $100 and came back at $15k..."
THAT is such a fiat mentality and first thing when you start with Bitcoin is TO GET RID OF THAT MENTALITY.

Got interested in 2011 because of a podcast http://omegataupodcast.net/59-bitcoin-a-digital-decentralized-currency/ with Gavin Andresen (read the comments under the podcast description :-)).
Because of that, had my first node running on a windows 2000 machine in 2011 for a few days I believe but didn't fully understand what this was all about really and it was hard to get bitcoin easily anyway at that time and there was not much material available to learn.
So I removed the node from my machine and moved on with my life only to come back 10 years later in November 2021 to buy BTC at the ATH: I bought BTC at the price I deserve it, me stupid fuck. Now I DCAed every month since then and a got my break even price "down" lol to $38k.

First heard at $3, mined until $30 (2012? Not sure). Sold. Popped in and out around 2013. Left Back in 2017. Crashed. Back in 2020 - stayed.

Crazy journey!

Early 2020, along with ETH, then a bunch of alts. I learned my lesson and have been consolidating everything to BTC over the last year or so.
Fuck everyone who tries to control the system/wealth.

Bought my first 2 BTC back when it was $20, made a decent chunk of change, paid off some debts.
Reason I stayed is because I believe in the tech and the freedom it will bring to the human race.
