This is pretty awesome.

Every landfill emits methane. Most US landfills already have piping to collect the methane because if they don't it sometimes builds up and can explode (also because regulations).

It's not usually enough methane to merit the capital costs to use it for power generation, but I wondered when people would start looking into using it for Bitcoin mining. Bitcoin even makes rotting garbage useful.
