If it wasn't on Coinbase Pro, he may paid insane fees.

When I bought my first bitcoins there in 2017, I paid €1.99 (or even €2.99?) per buy.

But I guess we all have to start somewhere.

And maybe that's a good example to tell him that middleman never have your best interest in mind.
