That ten minute window for edits is really restrictive.
How about having the timer to reset back to one minute remaining if I click Edit when there is less than 60 seconds remaining when I click it. That at least will give me some time to do a proper edit, and preview what I typed.
Sure, if needed -- limit that to maybe one or two edits (e.g., so the absolute max since initial submit is 12 minutes, 10 minutes + two 1 minute edits, assuming I actually did hit Edit twice).
This could apply not just to new posts, but to new replies as well.
Also, (since I can't post another top-level reply, I'm posting a new, unrelated reply here), check this out:
SN Item #1: Jun 11, 2021 SN Item #5,000: Nov 15, 2021 (151 days since Jun 11, 2021) SN Item #10,000: Feb 3, 2022 (80 days since Nov 15, 2021) SN Item #15,000: Mar 17, 2022 (42 days since Feb 3, 2022)
So, pretty much exponential growth. The time to reach the next 5,000 milestone has been taking half as many days as it took to get to the current 5,000 milestone.

Wooo growth. What's interesting is that most other metrics appear to be growing at ~20% month over month, so I think this means users are ~2x more active than before.
