I need to bottom up some pints now and then.
My problem is i want to be able to pintzap.
Fren point of sale does not like to buy bitcoin with every sale. Fiat bias.
I refuse to stableshitcoin..
So, I end up using monopoly's toilet paper.
Trying out Bitcoin Beach Wallet for stablesats, any other suggestion? Thirst grows exponentially from Monday through Thursday.

I am not saying he won't keep some of the BTC. Problem here is running a bar is mostly a fiat business, fiat customers at majority, you have fiat expenses, fiat tips, you need to pay for fiat wages,.. it revolves around fiat. Once the stacking capacity is reached,.. how can you avoid PnL volatility? As much as I hate this, its a reality. Thanks for the links.
reply
PnL volatility?
Bullshit. Bitcoin is cash. No more no less.
Just put the sign: "Bitcoin accepted here" and wait. Sooner or later more bitcoiners will come. Post your business on those many places of bitcoin maps, promote it in bitcoin meetups etc.
Here you have such lists where you can list the business: https://darthcoin.substack.com/p/pay-bills-with-bitcoin#%C2%A7general-merchants-lists

good luck trying to onboard legacy fiat businesses in a town in the middle of nowhere in the global south. you can't seriously expect to run a business where 99% of your customerbase still lives in a fiat standard.
reply
OK so what will cost you to put a sign with "bitcoin accepted here" ? Nothing. What will cost you to start a dedicated wallet to accept Bitcoin? Nothing.
Slowly they all start asking. it's all about YOU how to present Bitcoin to nocoiners. YOU have the duty to inform and educate them. Make some flyers, brochures and leave them in the shop. People will take them and read.
So why you came here to ask how to onboard then, if you do not want to onboard them? LOL people want just a magic wand that will change other people mind in just a night and done, will start using Bitcoin.
IT'S ALL ABOUT EDUCATION.
reply
lol.. chill. where did I say I did't want to onboard them?
the owners show interest. they are open to have some exposure to btc. but you can't seriously aim to change the whole fiat supply chain because you think "it's all about education".. do you live in a bottle genius? will they pay sats to brewery's kegs or sats to the kitchen cooks, the runners, washers, bakers,.. are you fucking kidding me? i am sure you barely administered an allowance for school lunch. Can't think of a better explanation for your irrational outburst.
I am pretty sure engagement won't ramp up treating ppl like idiots.

did my last comment hurt you feelings?
How about DOC (Dollar on Chain)? Backed up by Bitcoin, running on Rootstock (RSK), you can mint your own very cheaply or exchange BTC to and from it cheaply, too.
reply
thanks will look into it. Are you using it?
reply
Not at the moment, but I have a couple of times before, and I'm always ready to accept it, of course, and then exchange it to rBTC or BPRO.
At the moment I keep a small amount of Bitcoin on the RSK network in the form of rBTC, BPRO and RIFPro, which retain the volatility to maintain stable DOC (dollar on chain) and Rif dollar (the stable coin of the RIF infrastructure, respectively, and give me a small benefit for providing it.
