in the top posts section - there is a feature to sort based on votes.

One account, one vote.
Even if the account is a filthy rich one

Votes are how many people “up-vote” a post. Sats are the amount of sats. 10 people could “vote” with 1 sat, but 1 person could vote another post with 1000 sats. The first post will have more “votes” but only 10sats. The second would only have 1 vote, but 1000 sats.

You vote by awarding sats. The calculation just means the number of people who liked the post by awarding sats. In other words, voting is giving sats.

What? The lighting bolt beside every post is the upvote.

ok. understood that now.
I thought voting was a different function than the zapping satoshi function. now understood that each post can have one vote but more satoshis per post.

Is simple:
- if you post shitcoinery you get a flag
- if you post just a news link without any added comment or explanation 1-5 sats
- if you post a link with option to fw all tips to original creator of the link, you get 10-100 sats
- if you post a nice meta about Bitcoin you could get even 1000 sats
Proof of work on SN is well rewarded. But only if is about
Bitcoin.
Shitcoiners get only shit... Whag they deserve
