No. They were being forged and reformed. Strength, be it physical, mental, or spiritual, does not emerge from nothingness. It is grown by resistance, and the repetition in trying to overcome it. It is birthed in the juxtaposition of one’s will against one’s reality, in the friction between being and becoming.

The descent into the underworld is not a detour, it is an essential part of the process. It is the burning away of the overgrowth and the debris; the unmasking and falling away of the untrue, the excess, the parts of you that are unworthy of the journey. It is the germination phase of the seed planted within you - cold, dark, and lonely, but essential, nevertheless.

The stress, depression, and anxiety are inflicted upon us involuntarily. We don’t want to feel like shit, we don’t want to feel hopeless - but we do. This is an exercise in mental resilience for the warrior. The ordinary person either numbs themselves, dissociates, or succumbs to the emotion and identifies with it. The warrior recognizes this as a challenge to overcome and an opportunity to grow. Life puts us through these tests because we do not - we avoid “negativity” like the plague. But if you're a warrior out on the battlefield, then negativity, stress, and anxiety are your environment. If you do not know how to navigate that terrain, you’re bound to lose - or get lost.

EU lawmaker criticises plan to sanction Israel over stolen Ukrainian grain, but not for Gaza

Marc Botenga, a member of the European Parliament from Belgium, has questioned why the European Union is considering sanctioning Israel for trading in Ukrainian grain stolen by Russia but not for committing genocide in Gaza.

“Not for genocide. Not for war crimes. Not for occupation. Not for colonisation. Not for invasion. Not for torture,” Botenga wrote in a post on social media.

“But for trading stolen grain, maybe.”

Germany and Italy recently blocked a bid led by Spain, Slovenia, and Ireland to suspend a key EU trade pact with Israel over rights violations in Palestine and Lebanon.

The 'Greater Israel' project proposes that military aggression is justified to achieve the allegedly God given boundaries of the state of Israel.

'Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has suggested that Israel is destined to expand to include Jordan, and even beyond, to parts of Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and even Iraq.
In a documentary film by Arte in 2024, Smotrich said “it is written that the future of Jerusalem is to expand to Damascus.

This view has support in some parts of Israeli society. Israel’s incursions into Jordan and Syria has intensified international concerns that some actors in Israel are pursuing expansion into other countries...

In August 2025, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview with Israeli TV channel i24News that he was on a "historic and spiritual mission" and that he is "very" attached to the vision of Greater Israel, which includes Palestinian areas and possibly also places that are part of Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and Lebanon.'
