Looking at options to start a dollar cost averaging strategy, ideally without KYC complications. Running it manually, it's obviously out of the list. Just wondering what y'll have came up with your longer experience
Thanks
Don't forget the anon ATMs. I use one here in Málaga every week, having a beer to celebrate the next small step to freedom afterwards

Ahahah 😆 that's great... Unfortunately we do not have KYC free ATMs here

I can tell You that I need to give it a break. There are some nice bars in the sun and during the winter days it's absolutely lovely to have a beer after 'shopping'. But this way BTC could turn me into an alcoholic easily...

My personal 3 favourites of 0 KYC services in the eu:
  1. Pocketbitcoin.com
  2. relai.ch
  3. Getbittr.com

All of them have kyc light. They have access to your details through your bank information.
Take a look at Hodlhodl, Robosats or Peach.

Bisq!! It still is the gold standard. Also, Peach is very nice too.

Bisq does not have automagic recurring buy order, it needs to be triggered manually for what I know... or am I wrong?
Bisq still in beta... until tomorrow apparently!

You can create an order and after that order is complete, Bisq saves it. Then, when you need to DCA again, open the app and resubmit that saved order. Easy Peesy!
But, yes, there is no "automated" DCA with any non-KYC software.
And as we know, KYC and Bitcoin should never go together. Governments can never be anything besides pure slavery (always use violence) and Bitcoin is pure Freedom. That later is immoral and the former is moral.

how do you automate Bisq to buy a fix XX$ amount everyday? is that possible?
reply
I dont. Lol every month I fire it up and post an order. It sucks and I pay a premium but it’s nice the acquired sats are not tied to my identity what so ever
reply
Ok, probably I should reformulate :) What's your favourite automated KYC-free DCA bitcoin tool/script/app and forget I've a DCA setup?
So the goal is to:
  • automagically buy XX$ amount daily or weekly
  • pay with bank recurring transfer or bank-card
  • provide zero o minimal KYC info
  • receive BTC/Sats to an on-chain or lightning address
  • ideally the ability to stop recurring payments under certain conditions

Doesn't Kollider's synthetic USD make this easier?
Lets say I want to do 10 weekly buys at $10 each.
Couldn't I buy today $100 USD on Kollider. Then the bot simply closes $10 worth each week. The proceeds are in bitcoin. So after 10 weeks I will have about the same amount of bitcoin as if I had done 10 buys using fiat?
If Kollider then were to sweep daily the BTC balance to my Lightning address, that would even lessen the counterparty risk of leaving my bitcoin with an exchange.
Yes that requires me to commit the full $100 today (versus normal DCA where the funds for next week's purchase aren't needed until next week), but if I have the (fiat) capital, this seems to me to be simpler.
I do understand there is risk exposure holding Kollider's synthetic USD. I could see this same approach being done with DLCs perhaps instead though, or options contracts, etc. So using the example above, I buy $100 long, and I spend another $100 opening 10 contracts of $10 each. Each week I then close the short, and sell from my BTC balance exatly $10. At the end of ten weeks I will have a USD balance of $100 and a BTC balance that is about the same as if I had purchased $10 worth of bitcoin each week. (Albeit there will be some small fees that will be realized but that probably wouldn't be a material difference than had you bought each week with fiat).
Does that make sense as a way to DCA without having to provide verification / KYC? Sure, there is a significant amount of capital required upfront (twice the amount you plan to DCA over the period covered), but it could be "fire and forget" until the end of the 10 weeks, or whatever duration.

They made it happen!!!

Relai is the best, by far.

Robosats. Here's my referral link in case you feel inclined to use it. :-)

You aren't wrong, but it just takes pressing a button to renew your order and, of course, paying a new LN invoice for the deposit. Not too bad, IMO.
reply
I have to use Paxful, only place that offers a decent order book in my local currency and offers LN support, had plenty of pain dealing with scammers and disputes on the site, but that's all part of the game! I figure if I don't sweep their sats, and report them, who will?

No it's not a requirement, You can trade up to $11 000 without KYC, have you used the service before?
