SEL is a very old anime with a series of approaches that didn't make much sense at the time, but now sound like predictions.

In the interview below, some Apple executives, when answering a question about "Apple Glass," give a response that once again confirms something that was the main plot in SEL.

Far from being exactly like in the animation, the concept is still there: the digital and physical worlds together. No one needs to connect; it will be right in your face.

We're already like this, I must say. It's a somewhat primitive emulation, but many are already connected; your digital and physical personas merge and throw your physical self in the trash. If you ask an average user "who is that persona on the screen," pointing to their profile on any social network, the answer will be "me."

The shackles will become more appealing to protect this twisted concept.
