Real money is for spending as well as saving...otherwise it is pointless. My life is now almost entirely funded by sats as I recognised the value of BTC as soon as I heard of it... early 2017. I was not seeking or expecting speculative gains, but rather monetary integrity. I got both because monetary integrity like all forms of integrity HAS VALUE!
BTC has given me the ability to live life as I want to, except there are still fuck all places I can spend it as sats. SNs is one such place where I am happy to spend a minute portion of my capital on trying to participate in a constructive contest of ideas. What better purpose to spend 'surplus' sats on? You cannot take them with you.
