Welp that didn't last long.

I think the clear message is that the leadership within Iran itself is divided, and the normal processes for decision-making within Tehran have probably broken down.

to me it seems that Iran has kind of a decentralized governance system. you cannot just kill some and think it is all over. Trump may be negotiating with someone, the right people, he says, but these are not necessarily the ones that can decide what is happening. i have a bad feeling about it. it is all being a disaster so far. (to say the least)

I saw something about Israel breaking the ceasefire in Lebanon already. Not sure it's related, but Iran has been making it pretty clear that the invasion of Lebanon is important to them.

Both sides leave too many outs to expect any interlude to last very long.
