Fiat mentality sees life as a treadmill, where you have to run constantly to stay in the same place. The moment you stop running, you fall off and die.
A fiat minded person thinks you can only have money when you have a source of income, and so they view the times they've worked a well-paying job as "good times" and the times they've been out of work as "bad times", because it is only when they have earned well that they have been able to afford things. They can't fathom that labor carried out years or decades ago could benefit one in the present, or that labor carried out now can bring future abundance.
They view wealth as something that cannot be stored, and consequently, accumulated. In their mind if you have money today, you have it today only; in order to also have money tomorrow you have to go to work tomorrow too and slave away again. To extend life by one day, to push back homelessness and starvation by one more day, one has to work for one more day. They work today so they can work tomorrow too, so they can work the day after tomorrow, and so on. This makes life a treadmill run with no end in sight until death puts one out of one's misery.
I know many such people myself. They'll get a pay rise or a better job and suddenly start throwing money at everything, because they don't know what to do with it. The additional funds go into superfluous consumption and not wealth creation. They'll dine at expensive restaurants or rent a more expensive place and somehow think they have it better now, despite the mounting liabilities that require them to produce more economic output to keep up servicing them, which furthers their enslavement while the system robs them head over fist and laughs.
That's what the system wants: human batteries that only live to feed it.
It has always been possible to escape the treadmill by buying assets, but thanks to Bitcoin's liquidity and low barrier to entry it has never been as easy as it is now.
Humans differ from other animals in their ability to plan for the future; to have hopes, dreams and visions. Bitcoin, by lowering our time preference, brings out the human in us.
Bitcoin is not an investment in a company, a sector or a country. It's an investment in humanity.
