His numbers for 20+ air yard passes were bad this year. Maybe the toe had something to do with it. Obviously he isn't a deep ball passer but he is usually quite good in the 10=25 yard range.

Does he have the highest completion percentage, in general?

No he was 3rd in completion %. 10 yards plus filters out the check downs.

It also advantages certain kinds of offenses.

Apparently, Purdy was third in QBR and pretty close to Stafford and Maye last season.
