I just realized another weird thing about the Strait of Hormuz statement "vessels are [..] to pay in Bitcoin" as reported by FT and other reports/interpretations claiming Iran would also accept Yuan.
Why would they charge USD 1 per barrel and not, say, RMB 7 or 1400 sats per barrel? They won't accept USD, so why call up that price?
