Al Jazeera Mubasher correspondent Mohammed Wishah was killed in a drone strike west of Gaza City on Wednesday.

Mohammed is at least the 12th Al Jazeera journalist Israel has killed in Gaza since launching its assault on the Palestinian territory in October 2023.

Overall, Israel has killed at least 262 journalists in Gaza since the start of its genocidal war, and at least 700 Palestinians in the war-torn territory since signing a “ceasefire” in October 2025.
