You can sign up using a lightning wallet. That's pretty easy. Once you are in you can type AFL in the search bar and you will see the market.
For any team listed you can then buy yes or no shares. Minimum 100 shares. So take the Brisbane Lions for instance. They are currently at 0.12 for YES and 0.88 for NO.
If you click YES you will see this:
This will show you the price, new probability (it changes based on buys and sells), how much you will win if you win (in this case 100 sats) and how much the fee to buy is (2 sats). Once you click buy it will generate an invoice for 15 sats (this shows on the Buy Shares bar). You pay the invoice and then you own 100 shares of Brisbane Lions.
The cool thing is you don't have to hold those shares until the market ends. If you don't like how the Lions are playing or if you think the price for the Lions has been bid too high you can sell your shares.
It is similar to buying and selling shares of a company in the stock market but you are buying and selling shares of a predicted outcome.
How does this work? I’ve never used a prediction market before

Someone has been trading the market. I see the Bulldogs odds have jumped. I assumed it was you.
