Over 30 nuclear power plants were in construction or planning stages (with France and West Germany). A massive steel industry was rising. His goal: transform Iran into one of the world's top industrial powers—independent, sovereign, no longer a mere raw-materials exporter.

This wasn't isolated. France and Germany were positioning for a reformed international monetary system to finance industrial growth across the developing world. For British Petroleum and the Anglo-American financial establishment (controlling Iran's oil since the 1950s), this posed an existential threat.

The Council on Foreign Relations' "Project 1980s" (launched in 1975) explicitly called for halting such industrial development worldwide—including in the U.S. It became Carter administration policy. Their own words:"A degree of controlled disintegration in the world economy is a legitimate objective for the 1980s and may be the most realistic one for a moderate international economic order."

I'm sympathetic to Israel Derangement Syndrome, just not for the reasons that normies are Israel Deranged today. Normies don't know that Israel is a British Empire FOB to keep Iran (and Hormuz) as a lever of control over the global economy.

The US appears now is rescuing the hostage. Israel going rogue and blowing up people that Trump is negotiating with appears to be drawing that into the light. If you're Israel deranged, you should appreciate this as a possible exposure operation.

Also, Trump pushing since v1 to make the US the energy independent and the largest energy exporter had to happen before rescuing the hostage to remove their leverage.
