I have an instance of OpenClaw running connected to a Whatsapp channel. Does anyone here know how to dig into the log files and monitor API usage / tokens expended?
I have tried following the logs and I see some entries with the prompt and the reply that it sent, but I'm looking for information about tokens expended on a per-prompt basis.
The "common answer" I got from looking into a fairly similar question was: you do this on the provider dashboard, not the clientside.
Thanks for your reply. By "provider dashboard" do you mean whichever AI model I'm using? Like I should keep an eye on Anthropic / Google dashboard instead of trying to monitor on the VPS itself? I was curious because I'd like to generate some reports.
Yes. Anthropic has a detailed reporting section for API tokens. Not sure about google - haven't dug in, but would be surprised if they don't have it.
