Artificial Dopamine - Sunday Mar 29 2026.
Something that has come to my attention is how little people do things these days other than work and scrolling social media.
Instead of living life to the fullest we watch someone else’s life through a screen.
A man once said “I saw a video of a person climb to the top of Mount Everest on Instagram, then I deleted all social media for good”
Reason? Because he realized he was seeing a sight he did not earn - The top of the highest mountain on earth.
He realized that he was watching other people live their life through someone else’s eyes.
Far too many people are stuck in this rut, part of it isn’t their fault, we live in a society where most people have to work most their life just to survive, and when they get home they don’t have time to go out so they just scroll social media.
Too much artificial dopamine hits our brains all day that it messes with our drive to do anything else.
People are addicted to many kinds of Artificial Dopamine, Social media, Junk Food, Pornography, Drugs and Alcoholic, and more to the point that our body is bombarded yet still feels empty.
I believe this is a large reason so many people are depressed and why suicide numbers are higher than ever before.
How can we solve this?
Take breaks from phones daily, a set threshold of time you allow yourself to scroll.
Check on your loved ones and invite them to go on trips with you or play a board game.
Anyways, just a thought for the day, enjoy your Sunday ☀️
Are suicide numbers higher than before? I wouldn’t be surprised but I haven’t seen stats anywhere
