I’m a little confused at how this is losing at all…

Iran has lost its Navy and Air Force completely. Iranian leadership that has participated in war (Iran/Iraq) are either dead or in deep deep hiding. This is textbook short term pain for long term gain when you isolate and we’ll destroy the leading terror sponsor.

How did it work out for you in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Beyond the fact that USA is revealing itself to be a blatant war criminal disregarding international law, assassinating senior leadership of the Iran government and bombing and killing hundreds of school children.

I guess after decades of 'extraordinary renditions' (kidnappings), torture and drone strikes all breaching international law the USA has completely lost any moral compass and its apologists are now so deeply mired in its decadence that they cannot see what the rest of the world does- USA is a rogue state sponsor of international terrorism lead by a sociopath, liar and murderer.

That's not war, that's nation-building. Those are two entirely separate things.

Iran murdered 50k of its own people the first week of Feb. It is tragic that 175 children died, but it's not like we are bombing their schools every day. You are also aware that the senior Iranian leadership had attempted to set up assassinations in the U.S. against not just senior Admin individuals but dissidents as well. Iranian proxies murdered a couple of hundred U.S. soldiers in Beirut in the 80's. The Iranian's were the ones who created the modern-day IED, and that's essentially their drone equivalent, especially with the damage and death it has caused.

You are trying to compare two different things with nation building and military wins, and then you go and hit on things like the Iranian Regime was "nice guys."

You do this all from behind a keyboard (something, mind you, that Iran cut for its civilians because the protesting was gaining momentum) in a country that allows you to speak out against it. Go to Iran and do that; it doesn't work out. Even in the U.S., where there was a massive public outcry for this, the only people who were either A deported or B denied visas were those who violated the First Amendment and that is saying something.

1953 the CIA removed the democratically elected government of Iran to restore oil extraction by British and US interests.

1979 the Iranian people retook their sovereignty and oil from US imperialism.

USA creates reactionary governments like the Taliban and Irans theocracy by brutalising these nations into their most reactionary warlike and fundamental instincts.

Get the FUCK OFF other peoples backs and stop murdering and assassinating foreigners so you can steal their resources.

Show some respect for other peoples and their sovereignty.

The Iran invasion is not about liberating Iranian people it is about enslaving Iran.

I hope you lose and are humiliated because the world does not need this brutal US imperialism.

lol says the guy whose country depends on 5 Eyes protection.

In ‘79 a coalition toppled the Shah was mostly made up of far left ideological people not Islamist. That’s why after the revolution it took 3-4 years to actually get the government they have now. Women were instrumental in the over throw and then well since you can be killed by the morality police I think it’s safe to say they don’t value them the same.

The constitution that was voted for by these women was supposed to be finalized however this government resigned en mass 2 days after the violent embassy storming and hostage situation. Then the hardliners began to take over.

The irony of Iran assassinating 10 of thousands its civilians and hundreds of thousands protesting and asking for US help shows how you don’t care for the Iranians. I mean you are acting like you have some appointed position to speak for the people when they have spoken they hate their Regime it’s slaughtering them.

Unlike you who continues to wish bad on people I hope you have a good day. Enjoy the freedom these people dream of that they surely are not getting. You have done an admirable job enabling this oppressive murderous behavior by a Regime no one supports.

NZ may be part of the 5 eyes surveillance network but we are no longer formally a US ally. We rejected US nuclear ships from coming into our ports and for that the US ended our formal military alliance- another example of the arrogance and dictatorial nature of US militarist hegemony.

When a Muslim (or any) culture is repeatedly attacked by western imperialists it reverts to its most fundamental and militarisitic charateristics. Afghanistan has done this in response to UK, USSR and US imperialism and Iran has done this in response to UK and US imperialism.

STOP attacking other culture because you want to bully them and steal their resources and only then they might develop a political and social culture more aligned to your western values.

When a culture is constantly under attack from outsiders it can choose to fight and in such a scenario women have a primary role of producing fighters.
The USA is entirely responsible for the reactionary and regressive Iranian government- USA created that reactionary government by repeatedly attacking Iran sovereignty.

OWN IT!

Why are you so angry? This isn’t like you and significant development as I haven’t been unhinged like this.

So you’re again just flat wrong about the New Zealand/American relations. Yes, y’all turned away our nuclear powered ships in the 80’s but in 40 years things have changed. New Zealand is considered an ally with the 2010 Wellington Declaration and 2012 Washington Declaration, your part of 5 Eyes, and are labeled as a major non-NATO ally. Your own government agrees so agin you are just plain wrong.

You act like Muslims are just only attacked by the West but history is different. Since you want to go back into history we might as well go back to the beginning right? I don’t think it was called the Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, etc. conquest… nope it was the Islamic Conquest that swept the Middle East, North Africa, part of the Indian Subcontinent, and the Iberian Peninsula. I mean if you want to get real technical and in the reeds then this resulted in Arabic settlements being forced upon local populations. Something you have ranted at Israel about right?

The War on Terror is traced back to the Gulf War however, the Gulf War only started because Sadam didn’t want to pay his bills to Kuwait and hmmm the Arab Nations wanted US help. In return we got 9/11 and that has rolled into everything we suffer with today but notice something in particular…. Arab nations keep coming back to the U.S. for help and assistance.

America is the “melting pot” of the world so to say we attack cultures all the time is factually incorrect again.

Also you made a wild Nazi point about women which is I mean just insane… you literally said that women should stay home and produce children but the Islamic Revolution in Iran stated the opposite with women mobilizing encouraging men to mobilize and protest. You clearly don’t know your history about this and are screaming purely from emotions.

You agin ignored 50k killed the first couple days of Feb. any other country does that massive repercussions and honestly military involvement but Iran is supposed to be exempt from slaughtering people? You claim we are the aggressors but Iran blew up barricades and the embassy in Lebanon in the 80’s and so we checked you with the navy crippling. Iran continued to be a bad actor even when we started to thaw our relationship in the early 2000s.

The Iraq war had nothing to do with Iran but the IRGC taught the insurgents how to perfect IED’s leading to US deaths. It was Irans direct hand in something that did not involve them. Seems like Iran put itself in positions to confront the U.S. with direct bombings, teaching proxies or even having their proxies attach the U.S.

'The Iraq war had nothing to do with Iran'

Really?

US intelligence helped Saddam's Ba`ath Party seize power for the first time in 1963. Evidence suggests that Saddam was on the CIA payroll as early as 1959, when he participated in a failed assassination attempt against Iraqi strongman Abd al-Karim Qassem. In the 1980s, the US and Britain backed Saddam in the war against Iran, giving Iraq arms, money, satellite intelligence, and even chemical & bio-weapon precursors. As many as 90 US military advisors supported Iraqi forces and helped pick targets for Iraqi air and missile attacks.

USA treats other nations like pawns in its global hegemony where it steals the sovereignty and resources of all other nations whenever and where ever it can.
USA is a kleptomaniac regime led by a war criminal and sociopath.
Decent people have every right to be angry about how the USA repeatedly tramples on all other peoples and their right to self determination.
