Hey, I’m Protowaves,

I’ve been working on a conceptual Bitcoin album for a while and finally finished it.

The idea was simple: compress ~17 years of Bitcoin into 21 sound “blocks”.

Each track represents a part of the culture — memes, ideology, speculation, builders, cycles… all of it.

Not trying to hype anything — just treating Bitcoin as what it already is: a cultural artifact worth documenting.

One detail I found interesting:
the artwork itself acts as a payment gateway.

Release is April 3rd, 2026.
“Sync your node.”

Cool. You also make some japanese stuff?

reply

yesssss haha
I mix some Japanese elements into the aesthetic — kinda fits the whole Bitcoin + systems vibe

Oh, yeah. And what's that matrix thing?

Love that whole 90s vibe windows thing. Amazing. All your songs are amazing. My kinda thing. Keep it up!

Thank you so much! If that’s the case, I think you’re really going to love the album. It will be available on all digital platforms on April 3rd.
I’ve been working on it and thinking about it for years, and I finally made it happen!!
I’m not entirely sure how to bring something like this out into the world, but I wanted to contribute my small part to the Bitcoin community and its history.
It has a bit of a comedic, memeable-touch, and I think it can also help with adoption as another piece of art.

Finally someone documenting Bitcoin as signal, not noise. ‘Don’t trust, verify’ into ‘Not your keys’ is the culture in two tracks.
