I just signed up for a month of Figma with a Full Seat. I have experience with React side of programming, and I'm trying to improve my design skills. Can you recommend any learning resources for Figma design principles and any possible workflows I might be missing as a newb? I have already found the Figma Make interface and was able to download code generated by an AI. I also have been able to move from code to Figma layers using the MCP tool.
I'm wondering if there are any resources tutorials on making the most of Figma while I have it, or any common workflows I'm not aware of?
Mostly depends on what you are trying to achieve. There are plenty of templates and the figma community is really supportive creating plenty of plugins that help on design process.
Explore the https://www.figma.com/community/design-templates and find something that align with your project idea and you can start with.
This may help too https://figact.vercel.app
I highly suggest to start from the design principles, figma is just a tool, useless if you don't understand the basics. There are plenty of tutorials outside Figma too. The full seat will result really useful when exporting the design into react https://www.figma.com/dev-mode
