Knowing the etymology is great, but don't get things mixed up. The "Tic" you shared is a recent medical term, which is different from "politic" that comes from the Greek "politikós."

right make sense, still, the root polis is earlier than the greek poitikos, as I assume is a polis+tikos? but tikos brings me nowhere. Did check politic, just shared the wrong link above.
