I often spend Sunday mornings watching videos and daydreaming. Sometimes I fantasize about selling everything, buying bitcoin, and wandering the country. I must say I never act on these ideas, nor would I suggest that you should. But...
This morning I watched the video about this really cheap Chinese made RV with a really impressive solar energy system. It's expensive for a car, but not so expensive for a house. I imagine it has enough room for a single stacker, and even for a couple, if you get along well. The engine is a hybrid. The solar panel puts out 2300 watts. It has a 70KW battery buffer that can be recharged by the engine when needed and when you drive it. Using a conservative estimate of 8-10KW/h day, so long as you don't crank the A/C, you should be able to power 16-17T/h without driving at all. If you use it in hybrid mode to charge the battery you can get even more. That's free electricity. It has an 11KW inverter, so you can go bigger.
Okay, I'm done. 16-17 T/h isn't great, but it is free electricity. Who knows? You might hit that block.
Love it! Got a link?
Just the video
A link to the video? Or did I miss it?
Why is it a pipe dream? Seems doable
A couple of things to think about if you really do decide to take off are the cost of fuel and the inconvenience of parking them.
Maybe something similar but the houseboat version?
I had a client who used to live on a houseboat. It was really nice. My wife's friend lived on a moored old wooden sailboat for years, even through the winters. That I could not do.
Looks like a chicken reef truck! LMAO
