Howdy there, partner! Welcome on into the Stacker Saloon.

The United States of America has beaten and completely decimated Iran, both Militarily, Economically, and in every other way, but the Countries of the World that receive Oil through the Hormuz Strait must take care of that passage, and we will help — A LOT! The U.S. will also coordinate with those Countries so that everything goes quickly, smoothly, and well. This should have always been a team effort, and now it will be — It will bring the World together toward Harmony, Security, and Everlasting Peace! President DONALD J. TRUMP

🚨NEW: Restore Britain has now overtaken the Conservative Party in membership numbers
[@CharlieSimpsonA]
It currently has ~5,500 likes and over 570k views, with replies mostly celebrating it as "inevitable" (including memes and comments from Restore Britain supporters). Some push back, calling the figures misleading or noting registration issues.
Quick context on the claim:Quick context on the claim:
This directly echoes an announcement made today by Rupert Lowe (the key figure behind Restore Britain, an MP and former Reform UK affiliate). In a video and posts, he stated Restore Britain has now passed 113,000 members — eclipsing the Conservatives (recently reported/estimated at around 113,000, down from 123,000+ in mid-2025 and 131k earlier).
Caveats (widely noted in replies and coverage):
It's generating buzz across X, Facebook, YouTube shorts of Lowe's announcement, Reddit, etc., as a symbol of shifting right-wing momentum.

“People don’t want to read. They want to have read.”
And every time I remember that, I realize I wasn’t just talking about books.
There’s something in that phrase that describes a very particular relationship with experience: wanting the result without the process.
I see it everywhere today.
It seems people don’t want to think. They want to have thought. They don’t want to question things. They want to be able to say they question things. They don’t want to go through discomfort. They want the image of someone who went through it.
It would be easy to call this laziness. Or frivolity. But I think it’s something more interesting.
Wanting to have read isn’t laziness: it’s a way of relating to knowledge that prioritizes its exhibition value over its experiential value. Knowledge to show off, not to transform.
And that has consequences. Because knowledge that doesn’t resonate in the body, that doesn’t generate discomfort, that doesn’t leave you different from how you were before encountering it… isn’t really knowledge. It’s decoration.
What Dolina was pointing out, I think, is that effort isn't an obstacle to getting to the book. Effort is the book.
And in a world that sells shortcuts for everything, that's pretty much a revolutionary act.

Prolonged power outage yesterday and the UPS worked as intended
Same. We had a wind storm that knocked out power twice in a day. First was 30 minutes, then later it was out for 6 hours 45 minutes. I just replaced my UPS's batteries 2 days prior. Phew! I love that thing.
