First day of the school holidays.

But no rest for the wicked.

Was marking the fourth graders’ spellings (yes, with the plural marker because I had not marked their work for 3 weeks). Lest you call me lazy, I just wanna say in my defense that I have been spending my weekends (plural marker again) preparing my customised spelling list for the sixth graders. That took time as well as a toll. Not to mention that it was Weighted Assessment, which threw stacks of marking into the works.

Anyway, it was all good because I didn’t want to particularly play at the indoor playground with my kids. So, it was like combining two unpalatable tasks in one time frame.

After marking for hours and battling the snooze monster, I finally finished this task. Just when I was about to leave, I realised that I could use my non-slip socks as an example of friction for my upcoming lesson observation. That could be my hook! Without further ado, I went to ask the staff to take a photo of us and our non-slip socks because I am sure my students would go ohh ohh ahh ahh at the sight of my adorable children haha.

Stay tuned to more of Sensei’s working tales during the holidays!
