What movie have you watched recently, that you feel it's worth sharing? This one came to my mind. Dead Poets Society is one of those movies that really stays with you long after you finish it. The story follows a group of students at a strict boarding school, Welton Academy, whose perspective on life begins to change when their new English teacher, played by Robin Williams, encourages them to think for themselves, appreciate poetry, and truly live by the idea of “Carpe Diem” — seize the day.

One thing that really stands out in Dead Poets Society is the idea of “Carpe Diem” — seize the day. Mr. Keating, played by Robin Williams, keeps reminding his students that life is short, so they shouldn’t just follow the crowd or live by other people’s expectations.

The phrase actually comes from the Roman poet Horace, but in the movie it feels very real and personal. It’s basically a reminder to make the most of your life while you can.

It’s a powerful reminder that education should inspire curiosity and courage, not just obedience. The performances are excellent, especially Robin Williams, whose role as Mr. Keating feels both warm and quietly rebellious. Definitely one of them timeless movies worth watching.
