I really want to know what they found in those medical files that made them can the Crosby trade.... Its got to sting for the Bengals that he stayed within the AFC North. The deal includes $60 mil fully guaranteed and a $20 mil signing bonus.

Sources told Schefter that Hendrickson will make an additional $500,000 for reaching specific sack thresholds per season, starting at eight sacks and then escalating to 10, 12 and 14.

Did the Ravens not know that Maxx had knee surgery when they made the deal initially?

I dont see how they could have missed it I mean it was public! I feel like either his knee was worse or they found arthritis indicators.

The comment from his Dr. adds a new layer of intrigue about this....

Maxx Crosby's surgeon speaks out
As confusion reigns regarding Maxx Crosby's prognosis, the surgeon who performed his meniscus repair spoke out.

“Maxx Crosby is doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee," Dr. Neal ElAttrache told ESPN. "He is certainly on track in his planned program….he feels very well and is already much improved compared to before surgery."

ElAttrache added that the timing of the trade proved to be a particularly difficult obstacle.

“We truly respect the work of the Ravens staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam," ElAttrache said. "We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process. This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."

I'm guessing something else changed for the team and they were looking for a way out.

Either they hadn't thought they could get Hendrickson or the guys they lost in FA changed their plans or something like that.

Yeah I have a strong inkling that was the case. It would be mind blowing if something was actually that wrong.

Some shady business those Ravens are conducting.

It makes me think of the Carlos Correa contract situation where you had two contracts fall through because they found I want to say they called it pre arthritis in the ankle he broke in the minors. So far it hasn't slowed him down and I feel like with baseball you can get away more with having bad knees/ankles but I could see how a defensive end it would be much more problematic.

Found a comment from his Dr. about the situation...

Yeah but in the Correa situation MLB contracts are guaranteed and wasn't it a 10 year deal?

Crosby can be cut after next season with a 30M dead cap hit.

I know one of them was.... I feel like the other was only for 4-5 years but I could be wrong. Since Baltimore was trading two first rounders I kinda feel like they were aiming to keep his around for a long time given the price they were paying. If it was only one first rounder than I get it but two is getting pretty pricey for a short term rental.

I had a feeling this was coming. It’s surprising given he wanted to play in Tampa

I mean I think this is going to mean hes going to be stuck in Vegas for another year baring someone getting hurt and a team moving to fill a need. LV wants two first round picks and I dont see them backing off of that esp because he has years left on the contract.

If he comes back and plays well which he would be getting a nice boost of DL men around him since LV is keeping the players they had agreed to contracts with to backfill for him he could preform even better.

By “he”, I meant Hendrickson. I realize now it’s confusing
