So you think they WANT a boondoggle? The Neocons are / were idealists. They thought they could make nations into democracies by bombing their way to freedom. I don't think the goal was what they got. Don't get me wrong, the military industries probably love it.
I just don't think the US can end this war. You have way more trust borders on blind trust to me.
