Mainland China received ~6.8 million barrels per day through the strait in 2025, the vast majority of all flows.
This is followed by India, South Korea, and Japan at ~2.0 million barrels per day each.
On the supply side, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and the UAE together exported 13.1 mb/d through the strait in 2025.
With the strait effectively shut, the world is now facing the biggest oil disruption ever.
