The main thing I took from it – rather than thinking any particular person or community is a cult (they're everywhere) – is just how powerless we all are in the face of so much manipulation. Once you recognize that you can't unsee it. The big win I felt is how amazing the United States could be if both ends of the political spectrum took a pause, came together under the realization that external forces are manipulating us against each other, and just worked together on an agenda based on common ground, of which I believe there is plenty.
